Internet, COVID-related

Facebook/Instagram will reduce video quality in Europe to take some load off the internet, too (Netflix and youtube already have)

How about everyone shutting down Advertisments and tracking, wouldn't that help, too? :D

@anke Now this is a good take

@Anke Not gonna happen. Would be nice if facebook inc decides to shutdown, though…

@Anke Sorry, Mark needs the cash to pay for his mansions.

@Anke I'm recommending people not stream any movies.

If you don't have any downloads/DVDs/BlueRays/VHS at home I think The Red Panda Adventures would be a great emotional release for it's excellent depiction of The Great Depression and WWII in the form of lighthearted cheesy superheroics. It's also audio-only.

@Anke Or TV's good.

Letting someone else schedule has some nice efficiency benefits.

@Anke They are just trying to save COSTS.. they could just pay for the extra bandwidth, but they wont..

Guess what, all that money they saved, wont be sent to their customers either who paid for HD and arent getting what they paid for.

@anke Look at USA today website. No tracking in the EU, uses orders of magnitude less bandwidth and loads way faster.

@anke Noticed this when I was watching The Witcher and the loading screen kept reappearing.
